Vivid offers musical cabarets, improv comedy performances, and interactive experiences that have delighted audiences across the state for many years. We offer these programs as part of our mission to build community by sharing stories in an intimate environment. We believe that through the immediacy of human interaction, the arts can be used to foster empathy, build self-confidence, and spread joy.
Cabarets
Vivid Cabarets bring the excitement of live performance to your community with a 45-minute cabaret featuring professional vocalists and live piano accompaniment. Choose from our curated cabarets, or let us craft a show around a theme of your choice. More than just a concert, our performers introduce each song with engaging context, making every performance a rich, immersive experience. Want to join in the fun? We can provide lyric sheets for singalongs!
Improv Comedy To Go
The Flip Side, Vivid Stage’s improvisational comedy troupe, has been entertaining audiences since 2002 under the direction of improv master Dave Maulbeck. Inspired by shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the troupe creates hilarious, unpredictable scenes on the spot using audience suggestions, everyday objects, unusual circumstances, and more.
With Improv to Go, Vivid can bring a completely original, custom-created improv show to your special event, incorporating your themes and details to delight and entertain your guests.

Planning an event?
Parties, corporate events, library programs, senior center entertainment – we do (and have done) it all. Kids? No problem, we can do a G-rated show. Want to spice it up with a little adult humor? We got you! Our show can last from 30-75 minutes and we can design the content to suit your audience. It’s all up to you (You’ve got the power…sorry, song references excite us).
