JANET SALES is co-founder of Dreamcatcher with Laura Ekstrand in 1994, where she served as Producing Director for its first five years.  Past acting roles with Dreamcatcher include Allison in Rx, Emma in The Language Archive, Miranda in Expecting Isabel, Mags in Painting Churches, Lina/Nan in Three Days of Rain, Pam in Baby, Claire in Personals, and Hilliker et al in The Laramie Project.  Regionally, Janet has appeared in such roles as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Stephanie in Cactus Flower, Anna in Burn This, Rose in Dancing at Lughnasa,  Cassie in Rumors, and Marjorie in Extremities.  Janet is a retired member of Actors’ Equity Association, and has been a company member with Pushcart Players and the sketch comedy troupe Style Without Substance.  She is Artistic Director of Essex Youth Theater, Theater Arts School for Young People, in residence at The Studio Playhouse, where she is also a playwright and teacher.  She lives in a state of bliss with her husband Michael.
