Vaccination Policy

Vivid Stage will require all visitors to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for all events.

In order to enter the theatre, you will be required to show proof that you have received at least one vaccination dose with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization and a matching photo ID. Proof of vaccination may include a valid paper vaccination record, a photo of a valid vaccination record, the NJ Docket App, or equivalent app from your state.

If you have already booked an advance ticket to the theatre and are unable to meet this requirement by the date of your visit, we will be happy to issue you a refund.

Please note that masks are still required for all patrons indoors regardless of vaccination status.

As part of our ongoing commitment to public health and safety, Vivid Stage has proudly taken the Opening Night, Opening Right pledge alongside all 40 fellow members of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance.

Health and Safety Protocols

  • Our Staff: All of our staff members and artists have been fully vaccinated.

  • Cleaning: We will clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces before every show.

  • Mask Policy: We ask that you wear a mask at all times, even if you are vaccinated.

  • Contactless transactions: When possible, buy your tickets in advance so that we may reduce the time you need to spend at the box office. Your experience can be touchless if your purchase is complete before you arrive. You will be offered a paper program, but can also open a virtual program online if you prefer. If you need to buy tickets at the show, we will strive to make your experience as smooth and quick as possible.

  • Hand Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer will be available at several locations throughout the facility.

  • Air Purifiers: The air conditioner/circulation system in the theatre is equipped with HEPA filters, which are supplemented by mobile air purifiers throughout the space.

  • Distancing: Our capacity is limited to 50% for each performance, facilitating distancing between parties.

  • Refunds and Exchanges: If we need to cancel a performance, your ticket will be refunded. If you need to reschedule your visit for health reasons, you may do so for any performance throughout the season with a ticket of equal or lesser value.

  • Screening Questions: When you purchase your ticket online, you will be asked to agree that you are not currently ill or awaiting test results. You will also be asked to affirm that you have not been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for the coronavirus in the past 14 days.

What We Ask of You

  • Please stay home if you are ill, or suspect that you may be ill. The Box Office will exchange your ticket at no cost.

  • Please take care of yourself and your fellow patrons by respecting our protocols and procedures. If, for any reason, you refuse to abide by our safety measures, you will be removed without a refund.

  • Please contact us if you test positive for COVID-19 after attending a show.
